This past Sunday was the choir’s final performance of the 2016 choir tour. Every year when I arrive home I think, “How are we back already?” Every year it seems the choir tour goes faster and faster and by the time we end up back home, I feel like I’m just getting into the groove.
Sunday marked the choirs 15th performance of the concert they took around the east coast and sang nearly every night. The choir traveled to Washington D.C, New York City, Naperville, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and many other stops a long the way, but today’s home concert will be the concert which will be the most emotionally charged. Besides being the last concert of tour, this will also be one of the last times the choir will sing together for the rest of the year and this makes today’s concert very special to us all. Over the past two weeks this choir has become one big family and it is hard to imagine we will only be singing together a few more times this year. This group of people has become very special to me and I am grateful to have had a wonderful tour with such dedicated, hardworking and loving choir members.
