This weekend students will be heading home to celebrate Easter with their families for a long weekend before heading back to school. My Easter weekend is full of activities spent with family. There will be dying eggs, an egg hunt, and of course, a meal for anyone who is around town. Luckily, I will be able to celebrate Easter with both sides of my family. My mother’s side has recently changed to celebrate on the Saturday evening before Easter while my father’s side has kept their celebrating activities to Sunday afternoon. This way, everyone is happy and able to see all member of the family.
As break becomes closer and closer every day, I am more and more excited to see my family because this will be the first time I have been home since winter break. With a busy tour schedule and group projects taking up time on the weekends, it was hard for me to find time to make the three and a half hour trek home to the Twin Cities. I’m looking forward to catching up with my siblings, as well as my parents, on all of the things I have missed while being away and telling them all about my tour this spring.
