Popeye’s for One

My Popeye's feast for one.

My Popeye’s feast for one.

This year, although I live off campus, I still have a meal plan. As far as cooking goes, I’m largely clueless. I can make easy mac and ramen noodles with ease, and that’s about it. Now that I’ve started coaching, I find myself missing out on eating dinner at the dining services sometimes. Practice often ends after the dining services close. Usually, I will go grab food somewhere on my way home from the coaching practice rather than cook myself some food. It is exactly these circumstances that led me to go to Popeye’s Chicken for the first time. One of my friends back in Sioux Falls is a huge fan of Popeye’s, and I had never been, so I figured I may as well try it out since I would be going somewhere alone. I ordered the spicy chicken tenders and a side of mashed potatoes, and it was very delicious. I don’t really mind going to eat somewhere alone, I usually just check social media stuff while devouring my food. Popeye’s also has Hawaiian Punch in the fountain pop machine, which is really awesome. I’m a huge fan of Hawaiian Punch and not many places have it as an option for a fountain drink. I might end up at Popeye’s again after practice sometime real soon.
