A Formula for the Best Day Ever.

If you want to know what the formula for the best day ever is, I think I’ve figured it out! Concordia Dance Marathon held its annual Kick for the Kids Kickball tournament today and it was awesome to say the least.
Sunshine + Kickball + Cobbers + Good Tunes + New Friends + McDonalds + Miracles = The Best Day Ever.
First off, the sunshine. I mean you honestly couldn’t have asked for better weather. Everyone dressed for colder weather because the past week it has actually been quite chilly, but today was 75 degrees and perfect. I even got a little sunburn on my cheeks and I am definitely not mad about it! Plus, every once in a while there was this perfectly timed cool breeze to cool everyone off!
Second, there was kickball. I love kickball! It’s just a fun, lighthearted game that requires little to no skill to play! It’s a game everyone can play!! We had people from all ages and abilities playing and even someone from Vietnam who has never had the pleasure of playing kickball before!
Third, there were tons of Cobbers there and let’s be honest, whenever you get a bunch of Cobbers together, it is bound to be a good time!
Fourth, we had some great tunes. Dance Marathon partnered with KORD Radio for our event and the DJ was playing some great music the entire day. So, in addition to some great kickball, there were some good dance moves out on the field!
Fifth, I made so many new friends! NDSU’s Dance Marathon came out to support us for our event and it was so cool to meet everyone! They came out to our event even though they didn’t know anyone and I am so glad that they did!
Sixth, our new friendship with the NDSU people blossomed into a huge McDonald’s date! After kickball, they asked us if we wanted to go to McDonalds with them and of course we said yes! What could be better after a long day in the sun than a McFlurry and some fries??
Lastly, today we helped make miracles happen. The whole day was a fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network and we raised some money to help make some miracles happen at Sanford Children’s hospital in Fargo. How neat is that?
All in all, it really was the Best Day Ever.
