Concordia is a Division III school, which means that our sports teams typically play against other small private schools. It also means that our venues are typically smaller However, that doesn’t mean that our sports don’t have their own successes! Our football team is always fun to watch and they usually have a pretty great season!! Today, I went to go see a men’s basketball game and it was seriously so much fun. We were playing a team that was nearly undefeated so it was bound to be a tough game, and it definitely was, but we ended up winning!! The whole student section was super excited throughout the entire game because one player was just 10 points away from reaching the 1,000 points mark! About half way through the game, he scored a basket and the crowd went nuts!! Even though the crowd wasn’t huge, we were able to make a lot of noise and cheer 🙂

If you really wanted a huge crowd and a fun sports atmosphere, NDSU is just a hop, skip, and a jump away and their football team is insanely good. Even if you aren’t a bison fan, their games are undeniable fun to watch! They even get covered on ESPN sometimes. All over Fargo and Moorhead, I always see Bison banners on every store’s wall and every house’s lawn. It’s great because even though Concordia doesn’t have that Division 1 atmosphere, NDSU is right there!

Hello, there! I’m Kelsey Rausch and I am an English Education major from Elk River, Minnesota. It is my hope that I will be able to do extraordinary things with my life and I think I chose the right college to help me make an impact on people’s lives. I have some serious Cobber pride and couldn’t be more in love with this amazing college! I love music in every way that it can be taken in, whether that be listening, collecting, watching, or performing. I’d like to think I have great taste in music and I love connecting with people over a shared interest in music. I’m always up for an adventure and trying new things. I’m (apparently) very awful at telling stories, so I have to have crazy adventures to talk about to make up for my lack of ability. I am always in search of good books to read and I am grateful for God, who has blessed me with so much.
