Garage Sale Galore!
While I was packing up all of my stuff to come home, I realized that I have way too many clothes. After struggling to fit them into boxes and into my car, I decided that I needed to start selling some of my stuff. I mean I am a poor college kid right?
So, when I got home I went through my entire wardrobe sorting out things that I don’t wear anymore and stuff that can be put away. My first stop was a consignment shop, because I knew some of my quality stuff could sell for more. I ended up only getting rid of 1/3 of my pile, but still making almost $75. I had remembered that my aunt always had a garage sale on mother’s day weekend….score! I packed up the rest of my stuff and headed over to Woodbury, MN. Garage sales are my weakness. I love digging through the random knick-knack stuff and finding treasures or things I can fix up. So of course, I started looking around. I ended up buying my grandmothers entire kitchen set of dishes, pots and pans, cups, an old wooden chest, and Shania Twain’s greatest hits. Before the sale even started I was negative in the money books. I ended up selling close to the rest of my clothes and getting myself out of the debt I owed for my treasures. Garage sale is now over; I have more closet spaces, necessities for next year, and a new summer soundtrack.
RANDOM SIDE NOTE! I just had orientation for my other summer job at Canterbury horse race track as a serve! A little bit intimidating, but I get to wear a bow tie?
